The “MoveEase”  project is built on a distributed architecture, supporting both client-server and peer-to-peer models. It utilises p5.js for creating interactive web applications compatible across devices. Input mechanisms include touch, text, camera tracking, and sound. AI techniques such as PoseNet for pose estimation are integrated into at least one component to enhance responsiveness. The system uses protocols like OSC or MQTT for efficient communication, aiming to create a dynamic and immersive experience.

Prolonged sitting has become a widespread issue, causing discomfort and increasing the risks of diseases like heart disease and cancer. Despite health guidelines, many individuals remain inactive due to time constraints and sedentary work routines.

Solution解决方案
“MoveEase” is an AI-based system using PoseNet technology to provide personalised desk-based relaxation exercises. It monitors user movements, offers real-time feedback, and delivers reminders to encourage consistent, healthy habits.

My primary responsibilities included training the PoseNet machine learning model, implementing parts of the front-end code, and designing the user interface (UI). My focus was on ensuring the accuracy of pose estimation and creating a seamless user experience through intuitive UI design.

As a designer with a visual design background, this project helped me better understand the challenges of front-end development and the complexities of information exchange between design and development. This experience enhanced my technical understanding and broadened the scope of my design applications, allowing me to approach future projects with a more comprehensive and collaborative mindset. However, due to my limited development skills, I sometimes had to compromise on certain solutions, which highlighted the need to further strengthen my coding abilities to achieve more refined results.
作为一名具有视觉设计背景的设计师,这个项目帮助我更好地理解了前端开发的挑战以及设计与开发之间信息交互的复杂性。这段经历提升了我对技术的理解,并拓宽了我的设计应用范围,使我在未来项目中能以更全面和协作的思维方式进行设计。然而,由于我在开发技能上的不足,有些方案不得不进行妥协,这让我意识到需要进一步加强编码能力,以实现更精细的成果。
