With modern urban development, traditional exploration perspectives (such as walking or using transport) gradually fail to meet people’s needs for in-depth understanding and interaction with the environment. Using MR glasses, users can experience cities from new angles, breaking away from traditional physical and time constraints. By leveraging mixed reality technology and DJI’s expertise in multi-perspective capture and dynamic visual processing, a new device was designed to offer immersive urban experiences.
随着现代城市的发展,传统的探索视角(如步行或交通工具的观察视角)逐渐无法满足人们对环境深入了解和互动的需求。借助 MR 眼镜,用户可以从全新的角度体验城市,打破传统物理空间和时间的限制。通过探索混合现实技术的潜力,结合大疆(DJI)在多视角捕捉和动态画面处理方面的技术优势,为用户设计了一款全新视角的眼镜设备。

Urban exploration is often limited by fixed time and physical constraints, and traditional visual experiences lack flexibility and immersion. The core challenge of this project is to leverage new technologies to free users’ perspectives, enabling them to understand and experience cities from new dimensions.

With the advancements in AR and VR technology and the increasing demand for immersive experiences, DJI’s strength in multi-perspective capture and dynamic visual processing provides a key opportunity to expand into immersive experience products.

Although DJI has achieved remarkable success in content creation, its existing product line lacks immersive, experience-oriented features. The product line needs a complete solution to offer multi-perspective content experiences, allowing more users to appreciate DJI’s strengths. By designing MR glasses and leveraging DJI’s existing content platform, multi-perspective switching (such as real-world, aerial, and underwater perspectives) can redefine user interaction with urban environments.

The design includes MR glasses that support perspective switching, allowing users to experience real-world, aerial, and underwater views. Users can observe cities from a typical walking perspective and explore special ecological details from flight or underwater perspectives. Additionally, the glasses support time-transcending experiences like sunsets and fireworks, helping urban dwellers discover more of the city’s charm.通过设计一款支持视角切换的混合现实眼镜,让用户体验现实视角、空中视角和水下视角。用户不仅能以普通行走的视角观察城市,还能体验飞行和水下的特殊视角,探索生态细节。同时,还支持跨越时间的体验内容,如日落和烟花,让用户在城市中发现更多魅力。

Reflections and Future Insights

Throughout this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the metaverse and emerging technological applications, while also gaining valuable practical experience. Although the project remains unfinished, the concept demonstrates the potential of breaking traditional boundaries of perspective and perception and its possible impact on the future of urban living. This exploration not only inspired my thinking around immersive experience design but also opened new possibilities for the application of future technologies in the metaverse.
